Trece Martires is the seat of the Cavite Provincial Government and an important administrative center of the province. The city was named in honor of the Thirteen Martyrs of Cavite, who were executed during the Philippine Revolution in 1896. Their legacy is preserved through the city’s name, its barangays, and historical monuments.
